Reflection: When I look at my entry prompt in comparison to the papers I’ve written for ENG 110, what I notice is that my writing has not changed significantly. The biggest difference I see between my entry prompt and my significant writing project is the style of my writing. In the entry prompt, there is a clear thesis that is related to the authors’ ideas, and I use evidence to back it up, but a large portion of my content includes reflections on how my personal experiences relate to the ideas expressed in the passages. The entry prompt is also much shorter. Paper 3 is definitely a more formal essay. There are a few improvements that I think I made over the course of the year, these include local revisions, regarding the use of colons and dashes, and extending the ideas of the authors to the real world, rather than just in the context of their essays.
